Xander Black and Jackson Moran, seniors at Brophy Prep in Arizona, were first and third in the Division 1 3,200-meter final at the AIA Outdoor State Championships at Desert Vista High. Black prevailed in 9:29.73 and Moran ran 9:37.88 for Brophy Prep, in addition to contributing to a runner-up finish earlier in the day in the 4x800 relay in 7:59.76. Black also won the 1,600 in 4:20.36 and Moran finished second in 4:22.75, with the teammates finishing sixth (1:58.62) and seventh (1:59.10) in the 800 final.
