Randolph Ross, a sophomore at North Carolina A&T, won the men's 400-meter title in a world-leading 43.85 seconds and contributed to victory for the Aggies in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:00.92 at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Ross, who ran the second-fastest time in men's championship meet history behind Michael Norman's collegiate record 43.61 in 2018 and the No. 3 performance in NCAA history, also split 43.60 on the 4x400 relay and helped the Aggies finish fourth in the 4x100 relay in 38.60, securing the first podium finish in program history, as North Carolina A&T took third with 35 points.
