Ryan Crouser 1st Place Men's Shot Put Qualifying - U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field

Ryan Crouser produced the second-best mark of his career and the No. 5 all-time performance in history with his opening-round effort of 75-2.50 (22.92m) during the qualifying round for the men's shot put at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Crouser had achieved a lifetime-best 75-6 (23.01m) on May 22 at the USATF Throws Festival in Tucson, Ariz., which is the No. 4 mark in history. Crouser eclipsed the Trials record of 72-7 (22.12m) by Adam Nelson in 2000, in addition to surpassing his own effort for the best performance at Hayward Field of 73-11 (22.53m) in 2018.
