Logan Peel, a junior at Cedar High, won the boys 4A title by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 15:36.7 at the Utah High School Activities Association state championship meet at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City. Peel, who improved from eighth last year competing in the final at Cedar High, led four Reds athletes in the top 10 and five scorers among the first 13 finishers to produce a 35-53 victory over Desert Hills and the team's first state championship since 2009.
