Carissa Hofeling, a senior at Cedar High, won the girls 4A title by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 17:52 at the Utah High School Activities Association state championship meet at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City. Hofeling, who elevated from 18th place last year in the final at Cedar High, helped the Lady Reds take third overall with 89 points. Hofeling ran the fifth-fastest time overall across all six classifications.
