Laurie Henes, who has been at North Carolina State for three decades and been the women's head coach for 16 seasons, reflects on the Wolfpack winning their first NCAA Division 1 women's team title with an 84-122 victory over Brigham Young at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla. North Carolina State had finished second three times at the Division 1 finals after winning AIAW titles in 1979-80. The Wolfpack had five All-Americans, all finishing in the top 32 overall, to elevate from a second-place finish March 15 at the NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Okla.
