Jillian Stafford, a freshman at UCLA, placed second in the women's hammer throw with a personal-best performance of 195-3 (59.52m) in the third round at the USATF U20 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Stafford improved on her previous-best 194-1 (59.15m) from March 11 at the Ben Brown Invitational in Fullerton. She is the first female competitor from UCLA to make an American Under-20 roster in the hammer throw since Alyssa Wilson in 2018.
