Addy Wiley, a freshman at Huntington University in Indiana, won the women's mile in a personal-best 4:32.15 at Camel City Elite at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. Wiley eclipsed the absolute NAIA indoor mark of 4:36.96 achieved in 2014 by College of Idaho's Hillary Holt, in addition to breaking the collegiate facility record of 4:36.10 established in 2017 by Clemson's Grace Barnett. Wiley became the first collegiate female athlete in meet history to win any event at Camel City Elite and elevated to the No. 8 all-time mile competitor at JDL Fast Track. Wiley's adjusted mark was 4:29.49 as a result of the flat track conversion at JDL Fast Track.
