Alicia Monson, representing On Athletics Club, set the American record to place second overall in the women's World section of the 10,000 meters in 30:03.82 at The Ten, sponsored by Sound Running and presented by On Running, at JSerra High in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Monson eclipsed the 2016 mark of 30:13.17 by Molly Huddle and produced the second-fastest performance ever on U.S. soil. Monson also ascended to the No. 14 all-time global competitor.
