Gianna Rahmer, entering the eighth grade at Hoover Middle School, and her sister Isla Rahmer, an incoming fifth-grader, followed their sweep of the 3,000-meter titles for Albuquerque Athletics Track Club in the girls 13-14 and 11-12 divisions, by both earning victories in the 1,500-meter finals at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Gianna Rahmer triumphed in the 13-14 division 1,500 final in 4:39.12, the fastest time across all girls 1,500 championship races in every division. Isla Rahmer clocked 4:57.70 to prevail in the girls 11-12 division 1,500 final.
