Highland High head coach Dave Montgomery reflects on the Hawks becoming the first program in Arizona prep history to sweep Division 1 boys and girls titles in consecutive years at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championships at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Highland prevailed by a 53-91 margin against Xavier College Prep to capture a third straight Division 1 girls crown. The Hawks also rallied for an 89-100 victory against Hamilton to secure back-to-back boys state crowns and the sixth in program history.
