Gianna Rahmer, an eighth-grader at Eldorado High in New Mexico, and her sister Isla Rahmer, a fifth-grader, both representing the Albuquerque Duchesses, each won their respective 1,600-meter section at the New Mexico Lobo High School Classic presented by Garmin at Albuquerque Convention Center. Gianna Rahmer won the fastest section of the 1,600 in 5:11.15, with Isla Rahmer securing victory in the second 1,600 section in 5:44.35 to place 11th overall. Isla Rahmer also finished 40th from all 60-meter dash sections combined by running 9.18 seconds. Gianna Rahmer helped the Albuquerque Duchesses win the 4x400-meter relay in 4:33.91, with Isla Rahmer contributing to the Albuquerque Pacemakers running 4:40.77 to take third in their section and fourth overall.
