Denisha Cartwright, a senior at Minnesota State University representing the Bahamas, achieved a three-peat in the women's 100-meter hurdles by running a wind-aided 12.37 seconds for the fastest all-time all-conditions performance in division history at the NCAA Division 2 Championships at Francis G. Welch Stadium at Emporia State University in Kansas. Cartwright also won the 200-meter title in a wind-legal 22.91 seconds, in addition to placing second in the 100-meter dash final in a wind-aided 11.14 seconds. She also contributed to the Mavericks earning eighth place in the 4x100-meter relay in 51.89 seconds following a dropped baton on the first exchange. Cartwright is the first Division 2 female athlete to win three in a row in the 100 hurdles since Shermaine Williams from Johnson C. Smith in 2009-11.
