Pittsburg State head coach Kyle Rutledge recaps the Gorillas sweeping the men's and women's team titles for the first time in program history at the NCAA Division 2 Championships at Francis G. Welch Stadium at Emporia State University in Kansas. The men's team achieved a three-peat with 78 points, becoming the first men's program to win at least three in a row since Saint Augustine's captured five consecutive championships from 2013-17. Pittsburg State secured its first women's crown since 2016 and second in program history with 100 points, the first team to reach the barrier since Lincoln (Missouri) in 2005. Abilene Christian, Alabama A&M and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo are the only other Division 2 women's programs to accumulate at least 100 points. Pittsburg State became the first school since Abilene Christian in 2008 to sweep both outdoor championships in the same year.
