Tarleton State's Victoria Cameron meets with DyeStat's Editor Doug Binder to talk about competing in the women's 60 meters at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships on March 14-15 in Virginia Beach. Cameron, who also plays soccer for Tarleton State, is tied for ninth in the NCAA this season in the women's 60 meters with a time of 7.16 seconds. She actually ran a time of 7.14 on Jan. 30 at the Texas Tech Stan Scott Memorial. Cameron is among the first four athletes who will represent Tarleton State at the NCAA Indoor Championships. The sophomore was recovering from a severe knee injury one year ago, after tearing three ligaments in a soccer match during her freshman season as a forward for the university's soccer team. Cameron was a two-time Texas Class 4A 100 meters champion and won the state final her senior year in a time of 11.35 seconds.
