Cole Hocker, a freshman at Oregon, won the men's 1,500-meter title in 3:35.35 and placed fourth in the 5,000 meters in 13:18.95 at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Hocker became the first male athlete to win the indoor mile and outdoor 1,500 titles in the same year since New Mexico's Josh Kerr in 2017. He also became the first Ducks' male athlete to earn All-America honors in both the 1,500 and 5,000 in the same championship meet.
