Sophomore Tatum David from IMG Academy won the girls high school sweepstakes 5-kilometer race in a Florida all-time best 16:41.41 at the 14th annual Desert Twilight Festival at The Links at Queen Creek in San Tan Valley, Arizona. David, who eclipsed the 2008 state 5-kilometer record of 16:46.66 achieved by Wellington High graduate Ashley Brasovan, ran the fastest overall girls time at the two-day meet and led the Ascenders to the team championship with an 87-98 victory over Desert Vista of Arizona.
