A primer

Here is the link to the DCSAA cross country page

This is only the second year for the DCSAA cross country championships. The DCSAA was formed only in the last few years to combine the DCIAA publics with the assortment of other private and parochial schools in the city.

Here are last year's results for the GIRLS and BOYS

Megan Wilson of Sidwell Friends is eligible to come back and defend her title. The winners get a "golden shoe" trophy.

Tai Dinger of St. Alban's is certainly the fastest guy in D.C., but is not entered in the meet.

This is a thread starter. We'll post updates as we get them on Saturday. If you are at the meet and can help us out, add a #dcxc hashtag to your tweet so we can find it. If you have a photo, send it to [email protected].

Georgetown Day won the team title with 23 points. Visitation won the girls title with 40.

This meet is only in its second year. It's curious to me that some choose not to run it.

Tai Dinger is the best runner in the city, and goes to St. Albans.

His coach told me Dinger's next race is the MD & DC Private Schools Championship on 11/9. Then he will do the Battle of the Potomac Meet and then most likely Foot Locker Northeast.

Here is a meet story from the Washington Post:

Megan Wilson of Sidwell Friends repeats in 19:46.

Georgetown Day's Tristan Colaizzi and Aiden Pillard locked hands and finished together in 17:34.

Not too sure how that works in very many other states, but I know that would be a disqualification in more than a few. I get the team unity, though.
