Coe-Brown girls, Pinkerton boys win MOC

At the New Hampshire Meet of Champions on Saturday at Mines Falls, Osyter River senior Maegan Doody was the top finsiher, running 17 minutes, 34 seconds on the 5,000-meter course.
She beat out Coe-Brown senior Elisabeth Danis (17:41.2) and Jacqueline Gaughan of Exeter (17:46.1). The three were the only females to clock under 18 minutes. Doody, who is committed to Georgetown, is a three-time NH champion. In the team race, Coe-Brown edged out Pinkerton for the championship, 44-51.
Coe-Brown's seventh runner was 38th and two runners in the top six. In the boys race, Inter-Lakes senior Cameron Daly easily won the individual title, running 15:25.9. Runner-up was Liam Kimball of Timberland (15:37.3). The team title belonged Pinkertown as they dominated with 48 points, with all five runners in the top 20. Londonderry was second (105). More news |
