Seidel and Rohrer To Make Season Debuts in MilePublished by
Molly Seidel and Anna Rohrer Step Down in Distance for Season OpenerBy Adam Kopet, DyeStat Editor Molly Seidel and Anna Rohrer are set to make their season debuts Saturday for Notre Dame, both running the mile at the Notre Dame Invitational. This is a step down in distance for both runners who usually run the 3,000 and 5,000 meters indoors. Seidel, a senior, is a four-time NCAA champion indoors and out, as well as in cross country. She did not compete outdoors last year, because of injury, and was out of cross country eligibility in the fall, making this her first collegiate race since NCAA indoors last year. She has a collegiate best in the mile of 4:42.76 from 2015. Rohrer, a sophomore, finished sixth in 2015 and third in 2016 at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. She also finished fourth in last year's NCAA indoor 5,000. Rohrer redshirted the outdoor season in 2016, but did compete for Team USA in the 5,000 at the IAAF World U20 Championships. Her best collegiate mile is 4:50.02. More news |
