London and Boston Marathon Performances Lead This Week's Performance of the Week List

It was marathon week with the Boston Marathon on Monday and the Virgin Money London Marathon six days later. The Bahamas also hosted the IAAF/BTC World Relays which saw some of the top professional sprinters and middle distance runners in the world face off in nine relay events. Valarie Allman: The Stanford athlete, competing unattached, won the discus at the Cardinal Classic with a throw of 212-3 (64.69m) to become the American leader and #4 discus thrower in the world so far this year.

Jordan Hasay: The Nike Oregon Project athlete made her marathon debut in Boston, running 2:23:00 for third place, making her US#5 all-time at the distance and the fastest in her debut race.

Mary Keitany: The two-time London Marathon winner added a third win in a women's-only race world record 2:17:01 after surviving an amazingly fast 1:06:54 first half.

Jasmine Moore: The high school sophomore from Lake Ridge TX improved on her US#1 triple jump mark with a leap of 42-11.5 (13.09m) at the UIL 5A Area 09/10 Meet. She also jumped a US#3 20-4 (6.19m) long jump and ran legs on 4x100 and 4x400 relays that went 46.17 and 3:50.34 respectively.

Jalen Reagor: The high school senior from Waxahachie TX set the US#1 long jump with a leap of 26-0 (7.92m) at the UIL 5A Area 09/10 Meet. He is now the #12 all-time prep performer.

Jelena Rowe: The high school senior from Chicago Heights IL cleared 6-1 (1.85m) in the high jump at the Sue Pariseau Invitational. She is now the #27 all-time prep performer.

Galen Rupp: The 2016 Olympian finished second in the Boston Marathon, running 2:09:58, after overcoming a bout of plantar fasciitis earlier in the year.

Odean Skeen: The Auburn junior ran a wind-legal 9.98 for 100 meters to win at the War Eagle Invitational, making him the #15 all-time collegian and #4 in the world so far this year.

Team USA: The men and women of Team USA won five of nine relay events at the IAAF/BTC World Relays to win the Golden Baton award for the top team. They scored 60 of a maximum possible 72 points and won by 21 points over Jamaica.

Daniel Wanjiru: The Kenyan distance runner faced a strong late stage charge by Ethiopia's Kenenisa Bekele to win the London Marathon in 2:05:48.
