John Gregorek wins close 800 at HOKA NJNY TwilightPublished by
Competitive 800 highlights NJNY meet By DyeStat John Gregorek edged out Chris O'Hare by a hundredth of a second in a fast 800 meters to highlight the HOKA NJNY Twilight on Thursday at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Gregorek ran 1:47.33, O'Hare 1:47.34 and Kyle Merber nosed ahead of Robby Andrews by one-thousandth of a second for third after both were timed in 1:47.60. Villanova's Siofra Cleirigh Buttner put a disappointing NCAA meet behind her with a victory in the women's 800 (2:04.03). Ajee Wilson attended the meet but did not compete. Charlene Lipsey led teammate Marielle Hall in the women's 1,500 meters as they went 1-2 in 4:10.68 and 4:12.14. More news |
