After Giving Birth, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Plans to Return to Training Next Month

By Adam Kopet

Trackalerts.com reports that Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is planning a return to training in October after giving birth to her first child last month.

The 2016 Olympic 100-meter bronze medalist from Jamaica has won six Olympic and World Championships individual gold medals. In 2013, she swept the 100 and 200 meters at the IAAF World Outdoor Championships.

The 30-year-old sprinter will resume training with the MVP track club. Fraser-Pryce will likely miss the Commonwealth Games next year, but will instead target the 2019 IAAF World Outdoor Championships in Doha.
