There has been a lot of movement in the past two weeks, especially in the Northeast and Southeast.

Tewksbury Memorial MA now leads the Northeast after a second-place finish behind Saratoga Springs NY at the Ocean State Cross Country Invitational in Rhode Island. Red Bank Catholic NJ finished third, moving the Caseys up to No. 3.

In the Southeast, University WV is the new leader after an impressive run at the Carlisle Invitational in Pennsylvania. Blacksburg VA now stands at No. 2 and Riverside SC is No. 3.

Utah has thrown a wrench in the Southwest rankings. No Utah team has seemed able to break out from the pack, with all of the best teams having suffered at least one significant loss to another team from Utah this season.

The Roy Griak Invitational played a major role in the rankings this week. It was the first time Sun Prairie WI ran against top competition. The Cardinals ran well, finishing a relatively close fourth to Naperville North IL, Great Oak CA and Wayzata MN, all top level teams in the country.

On the west coast, Nike Portland XC helped Summit OR and Vista Murrieta CA debut in the top five region rankings, both now sitting at No. 5 in the Northwest and California respectively.

The other big move this week is Shenendehowa NY moving up to No. 2 in New York after a solid performance at the McQuaid Invitational. Saratoga Springs NY and North Rockland NY drop down a spot, but neither team has shown what it is capable of yet this season.
