The USATF Running Circuit wrapped up with the USATF Marathon Championships. And the indoor track and field season is getting underway with NCAA all-time performances. Liam Anderson: The high school junior from Redwood (Larkspur) CA finished third at Nike Cross Nationals, running 15:07 for 5K. Mariah Castillo: The high school senior from Saugus CA finished third at Nike Cross Nationals, running 17:36 for 5K. Kelsey Chmiel: The high school junior from Saratoga Springs NY finished second at Nike Cross Nationals, running 17:25 for 5K. Sara Hall: The American marathoner won the USATF Women's Marathon Championship by 2:27, running 2:28:10. That is the third time Hall has run under 2:29:00 this year. Kashon Harrison: The high school junior from Kirtland Central NM won the seeded race at the Foot Locker West Regional by three seconds, running 15:38 for 5K. Brodey Hasty: The high school senior from Brentwood TN finished second at Nike Cross Nationals, running 15:05 for 5K. Claudia Lane: The high school junior from Malibu CA broke the course record at the Foot Locker West Regional by 15 seconds, running 16:59 for 5K. Her margin of victory was 1:12. Timothy Ritchie: The American distance runner won the USATF Men's Marathon Championship by 32 seconds, running 2:11:56. That makes him the second-fastest American marathoner in 2017. Karissa Schweizer: The Missouri senior turned the tables on NCAA Cross Country champion Ednah Kurgat, winning the 5,000 meters over the New Mexico athlete at the Boston University Season Opener, running a #6 NCAA all-time 15:17.31. Aidan Troutner: The high school senior from Timpview UT won Nike Cross Nationals with a big finishing kick, running 15:03 for 5K. Katelyn Tuohy: The high school sophomore from North Rockland NY broke the course record at Nike Cross Nationals by 12 seconds, running 16:44 for 5K. Her margin of victory was 41 seconds. More news |
