Georgia freshman Lynna Irby took over the world lead in the indoor 200 meters with her performance Friday at the Razorback Invitational at Randal Tyson Track Center.

Irby clocked 22.96 seconds to eclipse the Georgia program record of 23.17 of Bahamian Olympian Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie, the 1996 NCAA Division 1 indoor champion.

She became the first freshman since Texas A&M's Kamaria Brown in 2012 to run under 23 seconds in the 200. Brown ran 22.86 that season on her way to placing third at the NCAA Division 1 indoor final.

Arkansas junior Payton Stumbaugh-Chadwick ran a personal-best 22.99, marking the first time since 2011 that a pair of female athletes ran under 23 seconds in the same collegiate 200 race in January. USC sophomore Anna Cockrell ran a personal-best 23.16 to take third.

Arkansas junior Alexis Jacobus took over the collegiate lead with a 15-1.50 (4.61m) clearance in the women's pole vault. Jacobus elevated to fourth among Americans and tied for sixth in the world this year.

Arkansas senior Taliyah Brooks grabbed the collegiate lead and elevated to No. 2 in the world this year in the pentathlon with 4,395 points.

Ole Miss senior Janeah Stewart improved on her seasonal best in the women's weight throw with a 75-3.50 (22.95m) effort to remain second in NCAA Division 1.
