Laura Muir Among the Winners at the SPAR British Athletics Indoor ChampionshipsBy Adam Kopet Laura Muir won the 3,000 meters Sunday at the SPAR British Athletics Indoor Championships, running 8:46.71, according to an IAAF event report by Jon Mulkeen. Muir won by four seconds over Eilish McColgan, who won the 1,500 meters Saturday. Other big winners included Asha Philip in the women's 60 meters and Andrew Pozzi in the men's 60-meter hurdles. Philip earned a dominating victory in a season's best 7.12 seconds, besting second placed Daryll Neita by 0.14 seconds. Pozzi overcame a poor start to win the 60 hurdles event in a season's best 7.53 seconds. David King led for most of the race, but finished second in 7.63 seconds.
