World Champion Johannes Vetter Could Take Down Javelin Meet Record at European Throwing CupBy Adam Kopet Johannes Vetter is well positioned to take down the meet record in the javelin at this weekend's European Throwing Cup, according to European Athletics. The 2017 World champion from Germany has already thrown a world leading 299-3 (91.22m) from a meet last month in Potchefstroom, South Africa. The European Throwing Cup record is 281-8 (85.85m), set last year by fellow German, Julian Weber.
