Grant Fisher, Marie Bouchard run nation-leading 5Ks By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Reiging NCAA champion Grant Fisher of Stanford made his season debut in the 5,000 meters and ran 13:36.77 to edge out Colorado's Zach Perrin (13:37.06) for the fastest time in the nation so far at the Stanford Cardinal Classic. Alabama tandem Vincent Kiprop (13:37.92) and Gilbert Kigen (13:40.99) finished third and fourth. In the women's race, San Francisco's Marie Bouchard held off Michigan's Erin Finn, the 2017 NCAA runner-up, to win in 15:32.95. Finn was clocked in 15:33.15/ Bouchard's time is also the fastest in the nation so far this college season and left her about three seconds shy of the Dons' school record, held by teammate Charlotte Taylor.
