Nearly 200,000 athletes continue to chase personal bests, improve team score

With just over five weeks to go in the Brooks PR Score season, west coast teams continue to dominate the overall standings, with the top ten boys teams all hailing from either Washington, California or Oregon, while seven of the top ten girls teams reside along the west coast.

Taking the top spot on the boys side, River Ridge High School in Lacey, WA owns a national-best score of 72.0, surplating former number one Dublin HIgh School (CA), who dropt to eighth overall over the past two weeks. River Ridge holds a nearly three point lead over Sunset High School (OR), who were tied with Dublin two weeks prior.

Filling out the top five boys teams, North Creek High School (WA), Marina High School (CA) and De La Salle Academy (CA) all own scores between 67.0-66.6, keeping the race for top three plenty close with much championship racing ahead.

Moving up from second to first on the girls side is Providence HIgh School in Burbank, CA. Improving their score over the past two weeks by just over two points, the southern California team ranks 2.2 points ahead of Sanger High School (CA), a squad that’s continually moved up the girls rankings all season long.

Watersprings High School (ID) has also been a team on the rise on the girls side, with strong recent performance elevating them to the third spot with a 60.7 mark - only three teams have scores of 60.0 or better. Former number one Marina High School (CA) now sits fourth with a PR Score of 58.8, while North Creek High School (WA) rounds out the top five with a 58.7 score.

With nearly 200,000 athletes competing on more than 1,700 teams, the Brooks PR Score continues to gain momentum as state, regional, district and conference meets take place.

Rounding out the top ten on the boys side, Skyline High School (CA) has continued to improve their PR Score over the past two weeks, boosting their score by just over three points with 66.3. Cove High School (OR) and Dublin High School (CA) hold scores of 66.2 and 66.1 in seventh and eighth respectively.

Bonney Lake High School (WA) moves into the top ten for the first time this season with a 64.2 mark, while Wilsonville High School (OR) is the third Oregon squad in the top ten, sitting tenth with a PR Score of 63.9.
