Josh Kerr Leaves New Mexico Early and Turns ProBy Adam Kopet Josh Kerr has turned professional according to his new athlete management team, leaving New Mexico after three years.
Kerr was a three-time NCAA champion, winning the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Division Indoor Championships in the mile and the 2017 NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships in the 1,500 meters. Earlier this year, he broke the collegiate record in the 1,500, running 3:35.01. The 21-year old from Scotland announced Monday on Instagram that he has joined the Brooks Beasts Track Club in Seattle.
Also joining the Brooks Beasts is two-time NCAA Division 2 champion in the 1,500 meters, David Ribich. Ribich competed for Western Oregon for four years. He has a 1,500-meter best of 3:37.35.
