The Florida recruit from Philadelphia, running in the unattached section of the 300 meters, ran a time of 33.00 seconds for a US#1. It was slightly off his personal best set last year of 32.92, which is No. 8 on the all-time list. Three more spots in the high school miles at the 117th Millrose Games were also awarded. In the boys mile, Alex Pelov of Montville NJ earned his berth with a victory in a US#5 time of 4:14.52. In the girls mile, Tatnall DE teammates Ruby Schwelm and Katie Payne both were given spots. Schwelm won the race in US#5 4:54.13 and Payne was next in US#6 4:55.13. Bethlehem Central NY, which dominated the cross country season in New York, ran a US#1 time in the distance medley relay with 12:14.76. Charlotte O'Meara ran 2:16.08 on the 800 meters leg and Sophia Chromczak ran 5:11 on the anchor with a big lead. Another school with Nike Cross Nationals credentials, Monroe-Woodbury NY, won the boys distance medley relay with a national leading time of 10:20.92. Gavin Catherwood closed in 4:20.65. Monroe-Woodbury also won the boys SMR with 3:34.53. James Ciaccio from St. Anthony's NY won the boys 500 meters in a US#2 time of 1:03.61. Benjamin Berman from Bronx Science NY ran a US#6 time of 9:22.87 in the 2-mile. The Elmont Memorial NY Boys ran a US#9 time of 1:29.09 to break a meet record and win the 4x200 relay. Owen Keating from Pompton Lakes NJ jumped a big personal best and US#3 height of 16-6 in the boys pole vault. In the boys triple jump, Zachary Jefferson from North Brunswick Township NJ won it with 46-1. Joseph McDonald from Kingston NY won the high jump at 6-6. Adeline Barker from West Springfield VA won the girls 2-mile in 11:13.34. Sarafina Scavo from Sachem East NY won the girls 500 meters with US#7 1:15.53. Meagan Ewers of Medgar Evers NY won the girls weight throw with 51-11.75. Padua DE ran a US#4 time of 9:22.77 in the girls 4x800 relay. Harry S.
