Nike pro Ben Blankenship joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to talk about his running career and his new effort to prepare for a marathon, as well as his non-profit Endless Mileage Project with an emphasis on sustainability and protecting the environment. The Fast Forest, which has taken root at Willamalane Park in Springfield, Ore., is a new grove of filbert trees, one planted for every sub-four American men's miler, and sub-4:30 women's miler. He has also devoted time to collecting lightly used shoes and running apparel and redistributing the donations to high school teams across Oregon.
