Galen Rupp Becomes Third Fastest American of All-Time at Tilburg Ten MilesBy Adam Kopet Galen Rupp finished third Sunday at the CZ Tilburg Ten Miles in The Netherlands. His time of 46 minutes 23 seconds ranks third on the U.S. all-time list and only 10 seconds behind Greg Meyer, who ran 46:13 in 1983. Rupp is now in his final weeks of preparation for the Chicago Marathon on Oct. 7. This race was his first since he won the Prague Marathon in May. Kenyan Rodgers Kwemoi was the race winner for the third time. He finished in 45:23. Noah Kipkemboi, also of Kenya, finished second in 45:47. The women's race, 10 kilometers, was won by Agnes Tirop of Kenya. She finished in 30:50. More news |
