Jordan Hasay to Race Roma-Ostia Half Marathon in Her Build-Up to the Boston MarathonBy Adam KopetJordan Hasay will race the Roma-Ostia Half Marathon, according to race organizers (link requires translation). Hasay follows in the footsteps of Nike Oregon Project teammate Galen Rupp who won the 2018 Roma-Ostia Half Marathon in a personal best 59:47. After dropping out of the Boston Marathon, Rupp went on to run 2:06:07 at the Prague Marathon. Hasay holds a half marathon personal best of 1:07:55 from the 2017 Prague Half Marathon, which she ran in preparation for the 2017 Boston Marathon. She finished sixth in Prague, but went on to finish third in Boston in 2:23:00. This race will come exactly a year after Hasay's last race. She finished second at the USATF 15KM Championships on March 10, 2018. Injury prevented her from competing in the Boston and Chicago Marathons. The Roma-Ostia Half Marathon, scheduled for March 10, begins in Rome and finishes on in the Italian coast in Ostia. The women's course record is 1:06:38. More news |
