Arcadia Performances Lead This Week's Performance of the Week List

This week we saw a world record, a world best, an American record, a high school record and several all-time performances. Leading the way with three entrants in this week's poll is the Arcadia Invitational. The Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run follows with two entrants. Edward Cheserek: The distance runner from Kenya equaled the road 5K world record at the Carlsbad 5000, running 13:29. (Results).

Chloe Cunliffe: The high school senior from West Seattle WA broke the high school and American U-20 record in the outdoor pole vault at the Arcadia Invitational with a clearance of 14-8 (4.47m). (Results).

Lauren Ellsworth: The BYU sophomore won the 800 meters at the Sun Angel Classic, running an NCAA leading 2:02:49. (Results).

Katelynne Hart: The high school junior from Glenbard West IL ran a US#1 9:59.57 to win the 3,200 meters at the Arcadia Invitational. (Results). Watch the race.

Stanley Kebenei: The distance runner broke the American record for 10 miles at the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run, running 46:00 for fourth. (Results). Watch the race.

Trey Knight: The high school junior from Ridgefield WA threw the hammer 254-0 (77.41m) at the Super Throw Hammer Bash, good for fourth on the prep all-time performer list. (Results) Watch the throw.

Tyrell Richard: The South Carolina State senior won the 400 meters at the UNF Invitational, running an NCAA leading 44.81. (Results).

Aliphine Tuliamuk: The distance runner became the first American to earn the 2020 Olympic marathon standard, finishing third at the Rotterdam Marathon in 2:26:50, good for 14th on the U.S. all-time performer list. (Results).

Mary Wanjiru: The distance runner from Kenya set the world best for 10 miles when she won the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run in 50:42. (Results). Watch the race.

Nico Young: The high school junior from Newbury Park CA ran a US#1 8:40.00 for 3,200 meters to break the meet record at the Arcadia Invitational, good for eighth on the prep all-time performer list. (Results). Watch the race.
