Preps and Pros Lead This Week's Performance of the Week List

The professional outdoor season is officially underway after the first Diamond League meeting of the year took place in Doha. On the prep front, athletes are moving toward the peaks of their seasons. This week we saw a high school record and a Diamond League record, among other top performances. View the choices and vote for the DyeStat Performance of the Week!

Stephanie Bruce: The distance runner won the USATF Half Marathon Championships by 21 seconds, running a personal-best 1:10:43. (Results). Watch the race.

Nathan Green: The high school sophomore from Borah ID ran a US#1 4:07.84 mile to win the elite race at the Nike Jesuit Twilight Relays. (Results). Watch the race.

Gretchen Hoekstre: The high school senior from Seaside OR threw a US#1 50-1.50 (15.27m) in the shot put to win at the Nike Jesuit Twilight Relays. (Results).

Leonard Korir: The distance runner won the USATF Half Marathon Championships by five seconds, running 1:01:52. (Results). Watch the race.

Yaroslava Mahuchikh: The 17-year-old jumper from Ukraine won the high jump at the Doha Diamond League meeting with a clearance of  6-5 (1.96m). (Results).

Lonah Chemtai Salpeter: The distance runner from Israel broke the course record at the Prague Marathon of 2:19:46, winning by nearly three minutes. (Results).

Daniel Stahl: The thrower from Sweden won the discus at the Doha Diamond League meeting with a Diamond League record and farthest throw ever in Asia of 231-6 (70.56m). (Results).

Trevor Stewart: The North Carolina A&T junior won the 400 meters at the MEAC Outdoor Championships with a collegiate-leading 44.38, elevating him to the No. 14 all-time collegiate performer. (Results).

Sarah Trainor: The high school junior from Franklin D. Roosevelt NY broke the national high school record for the 2,000-meter steeplechase at the Race at the Oval Office, running 6:29.08. (Results).

Micah Williams: The high school junior from Benson OR ran a wind-legal US#1 10.21 100 meters to win the elite race at the Nike Jesuit Twilight Relays. (Results). Watch the race.
