Apparel Brand Tracksmith Forges New Partnership Model

By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor

Mary Cain and Nick Willis have been introduced as Tracksmith's newest employees.

The Boston-based performance running gear and apparel company announced that it has created a new model for partnering with professional athletes

Cain, a former high school superstar at Bronxville High in New York who turned professional and was a member of the Nike Oregon Project, became an outspoken voice for female athletes last fall when she alleged abuse by Nike and its coaches.

Willis is a two-time Olympic 1,500 meters medalist from New Zealand and has strung together a long and productive career as an international talent in the 1,500 and mile.

"In a new model for athlete partnership, we have hired distinguished middle distance runners Mary Cain and Nick Willis as full-time employees and members of our marketing team. They will also compete as Tracksmith athletes in their build up to Tokyo 2021," a Tracksmith release said.
