Wisconsin's Major Division 1 Cross Country Invitational Not Happening

Cancellations of big cross country events this fall should not come as a suprise, especially one hosted by a campus that has instituted a conference-only mandate in light of the Coronavirus pandemic. 

On Wednesday, the University of Wisconsin announced that its Nuttycome Invitational was canceled for 2020. 

Nuttycombe, and the Pre-Nationals Invitational that follows, is a major driver of the early NCAA Division 1 cross country rankings. 

But for now, big events like these where lots of people have to travel through airports and come together in one location are unlikely to happen this year.
