Baylor junior KC Lightfoot cleared 19-5.50 (5.93m) on his second attempt to capture the men's pole vault title at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Lightfoot eclipsed championship meet and facility records, but only after he cleared 19-0.25 (5.80m) on his third attempt to prevail against Zach McWhorter of Brigham Young, who made the height on his second attempt. Lightfoot, the collegiate indoor record holder at 19-8.25 (6.00m), has won 12 consecutive competitions during the past two years.
