Moh Ahmed, representing Nike Bowerman Track Club, lowered his own Canadian men's 10,000-meter record by clocking 26:34.14 at the second edition of Sound Running's The Ten at JSerra High in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Ahmed improved from 26:59.35 in 2019 to ascend to the No. 9 all-time competitor, producing the No. 14 performance in history. It also marked only the third time ever in the event that a pair of athletes ran under 26:35 in the same race, including the first since 2005.
