Newbury Park became the first program in California prep history to not only win four consecutive boys team titles but also produce four individual winners in a row by sweeping both crowns in the Division 2 final at the CIF State Championships at Woodward Park. Lex Young, Leo Young and Aaron Sahlman swept the top three spots, Dev Doshi finished seventh, Brayden Seymour took 13th, Aaron Cantu earned 21st and Arnav Shetty secured 66th for the Panthers in a 24-99 victory against Livermore Granada. Lex Young covered the 5-kilometer layout in 14:27.9, Leo Young ran 14:38.4, Sahlman clocked 14:41, Doshi finished in 15:17.2, Seymour achieved 15:29.1, Cantu produced a 15:39.9 effort and Shetty posted a 16:20.4 performance for the Panthers, who won for the third time in Division 2, including 2018 and 2019, following a Division 1 crown last season.
