Courtney Frerichs, representing Bowerman Track Club, placed eighth in the women's 1,500 meters Saturday in 4:14.75 at the Sound Running Invite in Orange County, Calif. Frerichs helped pace several teammates Feb. 20 at Sound Running The Ten, but Saturday marked her first completed race since competing in the 800 meters Aug. 7 at the final summer intrasquad meet for the Bowerman athletes at Jesuit High in Oregon.
