Wayment, who became the first BYU female athlete to secure multiple national indoor titles, joined Oregon's Jessica Hull, Colorado's Dani Jones, Arkansas' Dominique Scott, North Carolina's Shalane Flanagan and Stanford's Lauren Fleshman as athletes to win the distance medley relay and 3,000 championships in the same year. Wayment and fifth-year senior Olivia Hoj Simister, who finished seventh in 9:06.77, contributed to the Cougars placing seventh overall with 29 points.
