Polish pole vaulter Piotr Lisek soared to victory Saturday at Sterncenter Shopping Centre in Potsdam, Germany with a world-leading mark of 19 feet, 8 inches (6.00m). Lisek's mark ranks him tied for sixth all-time in the indoor pole vault.

Lisek, 24, captured bronze at the IAAF World Indoor Track and Field Championships last year in Portland, then placed fourth at the Rio Olympics. All of that coming off a breakout 2015 campaign, where he earned bronze at the IAAF World Track and Field Championships.

Lisek now boasts the top two marks on the year, as his 6-meter mark added to his 5.92m (19-5) win in Cottbus, Germany in late January.
