Darrell Hill Named USATF Athlete of the Week for Personal Best and Diamond League Win

USATF announced on Thursday that Darrell Hill has been named USATF Athlete of the Week.

Hill won the Diamond League shot put final in Brussels last week with a personal best mark of 73-7.5 (22.44m). It was an improvement of almost two feet.

Hill passed Ryan Crouser and Joe Kovacs, who had been in first and second place, on his final throw. His win earned him the Diamond League trophy and $50,000.

The DyeStat editors awarded Hill the DyeStat Performance of the Week honor on Tuesday.
