Bozeman Hawks extend their AA win streaks in Helena By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Camila Noe ran away Saturday from Tiahna Vladic and Annie Hill and led Bozeman to its 11th straight MHSAA Class AA girls team championship in Helena. Noe ran 17 minutes, 28.1 seconds as Montana stepped up from 3 miles to 5,000 meters this year. Vladic of Billings Senior was second in 18:05.8 and Hill of Glacier, the 2014 and 2015 champion, was third in 18:09.5. The Bozeman girls, ranked No. 1 in the Northwest, put all seven of its runners in the top 15. The Bozeman boys won their 10th straight state title. The reigning Nike Cross Nationals champions put six in the top 16, led by the 2-3 finish of Duncan Hamilton Jr. and Leonard McComas. Cooper West of C.M. Russell (Great Falls) won the boys AA race in 15:31.9. He beat Hamilton by 16 seconds. Beatrix Frissel won the girls Class A race in 19:15.9. Hardin put five in the top 18, spread by 42 seconds, to win the title. Sydney Little Light led the way in ninth. Levi Taylor of Laurel ran 16:29.9 to win the boys A race and Corvallis won a competitive team battle with 109 points. Bryn Morley of Bigfork won her third consecutive Class B title in 18:30.6. She won by 82 seconds. Her teammate Anya Young was second. Manhattan put four in the top eight to win the meet. Zak Meeker led the Manhattan boys to the B team title, winning the race in 17:03.8. In Class C, Isiah Runsabove ran to the victory in 17:23.6. Manhattan Christian went 2-3-4 for the team title. Averi Parker led a 1-3-4 effort by West Yellowstone, running 20:02.2.
