Kate Grace Joins Bowerman Track Club After Move to Portland

According to Colleen Quigley's Instagram story Tuesday, Kate Grace has joined the Bowerman Track Club.

Grace announced at the end of August that she was leaving Sacramento and the NorCal Distance Project and moving to Portland (DyeStat coverage). However, at the time, Grace gave no indication of which training group she would join.

Grace switched her sponsorship from Oiselle to Nike at the start of 2017, which may have played a role in her change of training locations.

Joining the Bowerman Track Club gives Grace several strong training partners, most notably Quigley, who holds a personal best of 4:03.93 for 1,500 meters. That is less than 0.3 seconds slower than Grace's best. Both marks were set this year.

The news of Grace joining the Bowerman Track Club broke on her birthday. She turned 29 on Tuesday.
