Victoria Vanriele of Governor Livingston repeated as the 800-meter champion Saturday at the New Jersey Meet of Champions and broke a meet record held by Ajee' Wilson as she ran a new US#1 time of 2:08.91 in Toms River.

Vanriele has owned this event in New Jersey since last year, when she won the MOC indoor and outdoor titles.

National high jump leader Jenna Rogers of Rutherford NJ, a sophomore, remained undefeated against high school competition as she cleared 5 feet, 10 inches. It's Rogers' first New Jersey MOC title indoors or out.

Sophomomore Nicole Vanasse of Pingry followed behind state cross country champion Monica Hebner (Northern Highlands) for 15 of 16 laps, but then moved to the lead and pulled away to win in US#5 (3,200/2 mile) 10:34.49. Hebner was second in US#6 10:38.39.

Shelby Bigsby of Montclair, owner of the only 50-foot throw in the country this winter, remained unbeaten with a winning mark of 47 feet.

Bigsby's PR coming into the 2018 season was 45-9.
