Mondo Duplantis to Compete at Stockholm Diamond League MeetingPublished by
Stockholm Diamond League Pole Vault to Include Mondo DuplantisBy Adam Kopet The Stockholm Diamond League Meeting organizers announced Monday on Twitter that Mondo Duplantis will compete June 10 in Stockholm.
Duplantis, still a Lafayette LA senior, is the high school and world U20 record holder in the pole vault. He cleared 19-5 (5.92m) at last month's 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. This will not be Duplantis' first Diamond League event. He competed in the Prefontaine Classic last year, finishing fourth. He also will compete in Eugene again this year. Duplantis represents Sweden internationally. Last year he won the European U20 Championships and finished ninth at the IAAF World Outdoor Championships. Already this year, he improved his international placing, finishing seventh March 4 at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, U.K.. More news |
